Journey to Foreign Lands

Today we begin a trip to a foreign land, where Fire Dancers, Mummers, and the Gaida's await, we have the pleasure of performing some tricks and stunts for the people of Bulgaria this coming weekend. I have mentioned previously that there might be a false impression that being a demo rider is all fun and games, where in reality 60-70% of the time is spent travelling, so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that when I first heard about this demo my first thought was just how far we would have to travel.

Bulgaria is not a car journey away, and has involved a lot of planning / organising. However I think the prospect of a change from the standard Scottish weather report...

...to one that we can only dream of in Aberdeen...

...is sure to make the journey to Sofia well worth it, and I am really excited to visit the country and feel very lucky to have been asked to travel abroad to perform a display.

Sometimes, just sometimes, being a demo rider has its perks, and I feel pretty sure this weekend will be one of them.
